Use your wheel power!

Over 160 riders are now registered for ‘On Your Bike’ on Sunday, 18 May.

For 2025 the challenge is for each rider to bring another rider with them!

‘On Your Bike’, organised by Rotary for over 30 years, is a ride for everyone. The 15 mile route uses the SUSTRANS cycle path across the marshes to Higham; the 30 mile route then takes you out on to the Hoo Peninsular and the 45 miles goes through some of the most attractive country lanes in Kent. All with checkpoints and support on the way.

We start and finish at the Riverside Leisure Area beside the Thames at Gravesend — now a 20 minute train ride from London if you are looking for a new training route or club ride.

“We welcomed over 400 riders last year and we have room for many more.” said GwE Rotary President Mark Underwood.

“ We do not have an entry fee but ask for donations and, thanks to sponsored support, the main part of money raised goes to charities.”

Main beneficiary of On Your Bike 2025 is Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services who continue to respond to increases in support calls and have established a network of dementia co-ordinators for surgeries across Kent. They are particularly highlighting this year support for families and carers. Also other Rotary supported charities will benefit.

Direct entry is via RaceNation and there is an instant link on the OYB web site. Join us by 5 May to have your rider pack sent by post. We usually have a lot of entries just before or on the day but we do ask you to use RaceNation the evening before so we can get ready for you all. Entries will be taken up to 10.00am on the day.
