Gravesend is on the south bank of the River Thames, about 24 miles east of London. For a map click here. The town is in the administrative County of Kent and in the Borough of Gravesham. The Borough also includes the district of Northfleet and the rural parishes of Meopham, Cobham, Shorne and Higham.
